We travel to have new experiences including cities that are new to us. When we are there we keep our eyes open for everything, to get in tune with the vibe of the city. One of the best ways to do so is to see how the streets are decorated. If the graffities are elaborate and decorative (not just tags) it tells us that there is some cooperation between the city, the residents and its artists. This was one of the best parts of our recent trip to Porto, Portugal. Below are 50 pictures we shot there. We didn’t go around looking for art; these are just some of the ones we stumbled upon. If we want to be more systematic about discovering art there check out this article or this or this; from 2018, 2019 and 2020 respectively.
P.s. Pictures from the most famous form of street art in Porto are not included here: no azulejos are in this collection, keeping those for another post.
